First Birthday Bash...round two

We finally had Owen's first birthday party this weekend. It was loads of fun, but it went by too quickly. We both worked really hard...from Brig doing the food and the cakes, and me decorating the place. We couldn't have done it without the help of our parents. Seriously. My mom blew up the balloons and took care of Owen, my dad delivered the tables and chairs and brought the ice, Brig's mom helped with the food and the set-up and Brig's dad picked up some of the food and the drinks. And everyone pitched in to clean up the place. Also...a special thanks to Becca and Brian for getting the place for us. It was a great success, but Brig and I agreed that we will do something more low-key in the future!

Easy Rider

We finally had a nice day on Friday, so we went four-wheelin' at Grammie and Papa's house. The funniest thing was Owen deciding to stand up to ride. He's already like a pro.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

Owen got his first haircut on Tuesday. He was a such a good boy...just sat in my lap and ate cheerios while Kim did her thing. We just asked her to shape it up. Thanks for being patient Kim!

Owen also had his 12 month appt yesterday. He got his toe pricked and then 3 shots. Good news is that he is no longer anemic, so we can quit the iron drops! He now weighs 26 lbs. and is 31 1/4" inches tall. Believe it or not, he hasn't gained much weight since his 9 month appt, so they want us to bring him back in a few weeks to make sure he's not losing weight.

For Owen's actual birthday we had the grandparents over for pizza, cake and ice cream. We were running short on time, and we were trying to stick to Owen's normal night time routine. He got so many new toys, we stopped opening them. These pics are just a few of many. Stay tuned for pics from his big birthday party this weekend.

You've Come a Long Way, Baby

A year ago tonight, Owen finally made his debut. We can't believe how fast this year has gone by. Of course he is so different and does something new each day. I thought we would take a look back and see how much he has changed...
