I did it!

I had my doubts, but I actually ran my first (only?) 5K!  I wanted to quit the whole time but kept telling myself I had to finish.  Of course the third mile was the most difficult and I actually thought I could walk for a second and nobody would know...but I would know and I'm trying to keep it real.

We've been busy

With "dos", "O2" or "#2" coming soon we have been busy doing house stuff since we came back from the beach.  He is due to arrive in just eight weeks (yikes!) and we are nowhere near ready.  Brig had her 30-week ultrasound yesterday, even though she is 31 weeks today.  Everything looks good, even though he weighs a whopping 4.3 lbs.  Looks like we are going to have another big boy on our hands.  He even blinked a few times, which, I'm not gonna lie, is kind of freaky.  Brig says she feels really big in the last week, and I don't know why,  but I keep having the feeling he is going to come early.  I hope not, but only time will tell.

The crib is re-assembled in his room but there are still things that need to be removed.  I am not painting the nursery b/c we still love the color.  We got a glider off of Craigslist and I am re-finishing that.  We are also in the middle of deciding on fabric.  I am still trying to finish painting Owen's room.  Yes, I started this project right after Christmas.  It's in high gear now.  It will all get done, but I am feeling the pressure.  It's crunch time!

What else?...Owen goes to the dentist for the first time on Friday and then next week is meet the teacher.  Hard to believe this will be his third year at St. Paul's.  He doesn't go back until after Labor Day.  There are lots of good photo ops in the next three weeks so I will be back hopefully sooner than later.  I don't think I've even opened the camera bag this month.

Oh...just remembered this...I am running my first 5K this Saturday.  Since we have been so busy I have fallen off the running wagon.  I am still running a few times a week, but nothing like before.  My only goal is to finish...I'm not used to running in the morning.  And with the threat of Hurricane Irene, it should be an interesting day.
